February Challenge

I can't believe that we are already in February!!!
All of the design team loved seeing your entries to our last challenge.
What an uber talented bunch you are!
Keep checking back to see if you are one of our winners.....

This month, unfortunately, our sponsor has closed down.
So one of the design team..... Sammy.......
Has offered to create our winners prize for this month.
It will be some crafty goodies..... Thank you Sammy x

This month our theme is 'Your Favourite Technique'
We want to see your crafty project using whatever your favourite technique is.

Pop back over the month to see the fantastic talents of our design team as they work with the squigglefly images.... I am always excited to see what they get up to.

Make sure you read the challenge rules over in the side bar.

Happy crafting
Nikki and the Crafting Cafe Design Team x

My current favourite technique

To be completely honest, I'm glad I'm not working with my allocated Squigglefly image as it was an 'animal totem pole'. Um... right. It's a shame they are no longer open though :(

So - back to the topic at hand, my favourite technique. It's difficult to pin such a thing down as a mixed media artist, but here's my current one: Chameleon Pens. I've seen loads of comments for and against these newcomers to the alcohol pens, but I have to say I'm smitten. I think they save so much time, and once you've gone through a couple of the online tutorial videos, they are quick to work with. Here's my card for this month, featuring the Cling Vase Bouquet from Stampendous.

Pens used:
PK3 Bubble Gum for the roses
PR4 Purple Grape for rose shading and on tabletop
YG3 Spring Meadow for the leaves and stems
BL3 Sky Blue for the background
Blending Pen
Image stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black.

My favourite technique(s), by Amanda

Hi everyone, February is nearly over, but there's still time to join in with our challenge.  I don't really have a single favourite technique (my fave is generally whatever I'm doing right now!), so I've created a project that features several of my favourites.  I've always loved to lose myself in the detail of colouring in, especially with watercolour pencils, I really enjoy single colour projects, and I have a long-standing addiction to easel cards.  Here's my card, I hope you like it.  For details of what I used, please visit my blog, here

Favourite Technique - Mags

Hi Everyone
Mags here to share my favourite technique for our current challenge.  It was difficult for me to pin down a specific technique as I love all types of papercrafting.  However, when I get the chance I love stamping and also embossing.  This card has both of these favourites on it.

I used a stamp set from Clearly Besotted Stamps that came free with a crafty magazine recently.  I also used my large dotty embossing folder for the background.  Although quite a simple card it seemed to take ages to come together.

For more details of how I created it just pop over to my blog.  Now it's your turn to show us your favourite technique.

Bye for now
Mags

My Favourite Technique

Hi Janet here and this is my DT card for this months challenge of using my
favourite technique.
I have used an images from Squigglefly, which I had to make a Christmas card an early start toward next Christmas. I have so many techniques I love to use but this is one of them and that is a clean and simple card. Everything has been done direct to card except for a die cut greeting.

I can't wait to see what you all do and pop back and see what the rest of our talented design teams favourite techniques are.
