Strawberry Birthday

'Strawberry Birthday' by Neil Burley

I'm never afraid to take a literal approach to a challenge theme, and here's my 'fruity' card for this month's 'feeling fruity' theme here at The Crafting Cafe. It features the delightful 'Eleanor's Heart Balloons' from our sponsor Lacy Sunshine Stamps coloured with ProMarkers. The sentiment is from Craftwork Cards. The card itself is made from a folded sheet of red card, cut to shape and flecked with Bisque Liquid Pearls. The leafy bit is part of a large poinsettia punch and a flare punch over the top. Not at all my normal style, but I think I'll get away with it ;)

Hair - Pastel Yellow / Sunflower / Gold / Caramel
Skin - Blush / Oatmeal / Apricot
Hearts - Berry Red
Sweater - Pale Pink
Skirt - Cool Aqua

July - Feeling Fruity - Angelie

Hi there

Hope you are enjoying the summer and our fruity challenge this month! I decided to go with fruity colours for my DT inspiration card but as I've been making quite a few cards which are pink / purple based recently, I took my inspiration from my breakfast bowl when I made this... blueberries and bananas :)

Still a few days left to enter the challenge as we'd love to see your designs

Feeling Fruity

Hi all, Sammy here.

First of all, apologies for the late post. I thought I'd scheduled it, but it somehow managed to slip through the net. So sorry about that!
So I'll not waste further time, and leave you with my fruity creation, using the lovely "Cider Apple" image from out sponsor Lacy Sunshine:

Isn't she fab?

More on my blog, here.

Have a fabby day everyone.

Feeling Fruity by Mags

Hi Folks
Mags here to share some inspiration for our current challenge here at The Crafting Cafe.

Our theme for this month is Feeling Fruity and I have used a cute image from our sponsor Lacy Sunshine.

I coloured my image using promarkers and then added some glossy accents to the apple to make it shine.  As you can see I went for an image containing fruit and fruity colours.

For more details of how I created my card just pop by my blog.  You have till the end of the month to join in with our challenge.

Bye for now

Thursday, 17 July 2014

Hey Everyone :) I hope you are all OK.

Its that time of the month, where I can hopefully offer a little bit of inspiration for our June Challenge.

Our wonderful sponsor this month is Lacy Sunshine  and I used the image  'Wilkes the Pirate and Parrot Whiskey'

I've gone for fruity colours, rather than a fruity image :)

If you would like more details on my card, please pop over to my blog.

I hope you will be inspired to enter our Feeling Fruity challenge and don't forget to check back later in the month for more DT inspiration.

Happy Crafting,
Samantha K

July challenge

Hi everyone. I'm really loving the images from this month's sponsor, Lacy Sunshine for our July challenge. I chose to work with the image called Cider Apple. These aren't colours that I would normally work with but I'm  pleased with the result.

Pop over to my blog to see how I made the card.
