August Photo Challenge, by Amanda

Hi everyone, Amanda here, finishing up our August challenge with a clean and simple card.  Our sponsors this month are Ooh La La Creations, and I've chosen paper and a topper from their beautiful and delicate "Dancing In The Wind" design from the Carnival of Colour CD.  Here's what I made.

With Sympathy Card

'With sympathy' by Neil Burley

When faced with a photo inspiration challenge, you have so many choices - do you go with the colours? The featured elements, such as the poppies? How it makes you feel? What it reminds you of? Tying all that in with the images supplied by our sponsors this month, Ooh La La Creations, I was reminded of all the commemorations of the First World War that are ongoing at the moment, and decided to make a 'with sympathy' card.

I've embellished the Toppers 2 triptych with black ribbon bows, black mosaic tiles (Mark Richards Crystal Stickers), and matted onto black card. The lettering is machine cut on my Silhouette Cameo - Remember is in the font Agency and the with sympathy in Zapfino, with a white card background made by adding an outside offset of 0.1cm to the text.

Hi there

This is my DT inspiration card for this month. This image is so colourful I printed it with a watercolour effect and finished with a simple sentiment and basic mat and layer to make the image the main focus of the card

Morning all,

Sammy here with my photo inspiration for you using some gorgeous images from our sponsor Ooh-la-la Creations.

I wanted to keep the front relatively CAS to focus on the gorgeous image, so stamped the sentiment on the inside and just used the image and border strip on the front:

Photo Inspiration - Mags

Hi Folks

Mags here to share a little inspiration for our current photo inspiration challenge.

I used images and papers from The Carnival of Colour CD from our sponsor Ooh La La Creations.  I loved this image and simply matted onto some dark green card.  I added some dark green ribbon at the bottom together with a sentiment and some gems.  

I hope you will join in with our challenge and look our for more inspiration throughout the month from the talented design team.
